In this post I did a portrait of singer songwriter Nora Jones. I used the Impressionist color palette found in Adobe Illustrator to create the background. I also continued to add more highlights and shadows in the face to add a more three-dimensional look.

Please teach me illustrator I’ve been trying but my only result with digital editing is using photoshop or sketchbook pro I wish I was better at drawing.

I use a wacom cintiq along with Adobe Illustrator to create my Portraits and I make a drawing everyday that is how you get better at drawing.

Thank you for responding that’s a great tip!!! I’ll start doing that I have a Wacom manga tablet and it’s ok for now because I know artist use what they have.

The key to getting better is to practice and then practice more. You could start a daily drawing so you can look back on your progress.
